Fantastic Artwork Produced During Remote Learning

Remote Learning started at pace and has been an overwhelming success and gratefully received by students and parents/carers alike.  Parents have commented that it has given their child the structure and routines to help them fully focus and engage in their studies.

We would like to thank all of our Academy community for their support as we have transitioned to Microsoft Teams and the interactive learning platform during this lockdown.  All students have full access to their normal timetabled lessons and the full broad curriculum with their teachers.

Staff report that students are rising to the challenge of this new way of learning  with enthusiasm, vibrance and energy, making lessons fun.  The positive comments received from parents and carers over this last term regarding the quality of the teaching and the commitment of the staff have been welcomed.

Tony Davis,  Art Teacher, said: “I am so proud of how the students have been able to continue with their studies and their engagement in remote lessons. The work they have been able to create continues to show an excellent ability when developing their media and research skills. TEAMS and remote learning continues to allow us to speak to the students every lesson and help facilitate and model lesson aims with immediacy. Students have told us that this communication is really helping them with their work and routines.”
