Condover Hall Activity Centre

We are very pleased to inform you of an exciting opportunity available for our Year 7 students. A residential activity visit will be taking place at Condover Hall Activity Centre - near Shrewsbury in Shropshire, where students can take part in numerous outdoor pursuits. Due to the number of students expected to participate, we have requested two separate dates: one group will visit from Monday 13 June 2022 to Wednesday 15 June 2022; the second group will visit from Wednesday 15 June 2022 to Friday 17 June 2022.

Residential visits are an invaluable part of the National Curriculum, as the effects of learning outside the classroom, coupled with the impact this has on a child’s progress, are highly beneficial to all. Activities outside the classroom offer new and stimulating challenges, with children learning to work together cooperatively, developing their independence, confidence and use of initiative.

At Condover Hall, fully trained and qualified instructors, with the support of Academy staff, will provide instruction in the full programme of activities in a safe, controlled and secure environment.

The total cost of the visit to Condover Hall Activity Centre is £280 and includes: full board accommodation; transport from the Academy to the centre and return; all instruction and activities; equipment and safety equipment; evening activities programme achievement certificates and comprehensive insurance.

To reserve a place for your child, please complete the consent form overleaf. We will then email you login details for SIMSpay 360 to enable you to pay the initial deposit of £25. This payment must be transferred before 29 October 2021 in order to secure the booking. Subsequent payments will also be made through the SIMSpay 360 app. Further details will be sent once the initial deposit is paid and your child’s place is confirmed. Financial support is available if your child is in receipt of Pupil Premium Funding. Please contact Mr Pharaoh at the Academy to discuss.

For further information about the visit, an overview of the activities and details regarding Condover Hall itself etc., please check the Condover Hall Activity Centre website: www.jca-adventure.co.uk. Details are also available on the Year 7 visit tab on the Academy’s Website: https://www.tollbaracademy.co.uk, where you will be able to see how worthwhile and enjoyable this visit will be.

Yours faithfully
