Year 11 Leavers 2020—A message from the Principal

10 July 2020

Dear Year 11 Students

This has been a very unique and challenging time for you all and I want you to know that we have all been thinking about you over these last few months. We realise that the sudden end to your Year 11 studies and the cancellation of your GCSE examinations which you have worked so hard for, was very upsetting and disappointing for many of you and not the end to Year 11 that we had planned for you.

GCSE results day will soon be with us and I know that your Heads of House have been speaking to many of you about your plans for the future. Staff are here to support you if you have any concerns and will be available on results day to support you as you transition on to the next stage of your education. You can enrol for our Sixth Form on the day or on line. A letter will be posted to all of you with further details of the arrangements for results day on Thursday 20 August 2020. Please keep checking the website and the Year 11 tab for any updated information.

I would like to wish you all well for the future. I am sure that you will all move forward from this situation and be successful in whatever you decide to do. You have worked hard and you should be proud of yourselves. All of the staff at Tollbar Academy have been thinking about you and wish you well for the future. I am confident that you will all move forward from this situation and succeed with all of your endeavours.

I look forward to seeing you again on GCSE results day.

Yours faithfully

Mrs C L Yates
