Year 11 GCSE Examinations

Ref: CLY/AKW 7 January 2021

Dear Parent/Carer

Year 11 GCSE Examinations

Following the Education Secretary's announcement that the GCSE Summer examination will no longer take place, I would like to reassure you and your child that we will keep you fully informed about the assessment procedure, once we have received confirmation of the process.

It is important that students continue to focus on their studies and engage in their remote learning lessons so that teachers can continue to support them with their learning and put them in the best position, whatever arrangements are made for their qualifications. Students still need to focus on developing their knowledge and skills in order to equip them to progress to the next stage, whatever form that might take – whether to stay on at our 6th Form, college, an apprenticeship, university or employment.

Careers and Personal Development lessons will provide guidance and will include the completion of applications for post 16 opportunities. If you require any further help or support please contact the Academy via enquires@tollbaracademy.co.uk.

Yours faithfully

Mrs C L Yates
