Year 10 Geography students visited Hull City Centre to research regeneration. They looked at pedestrian footfall, the number of derelict buildings and shops and compared different areas of the centre.

Dean Evison, Curriculum Leader for Geography, said: "Getting out into the community allows the students to put their classroom learning into practice and gives them a greater understanding of the impact on the environment."

Student Charlotte Baker said: "It is really interesting coming to Hull and it does help to make sense of the things we learn in the classroom."

Geography GCSE students, Joe Tilson, Holly Lentle-Shields and Harvey Greenfield, in Queen Victoria Square, Hull.
