Talented Year 7 twins, Abbie and Chloe Buckley (11), have each achieved success in different fields.
Keen writer Abbie has had her short story published after entering the Young Writers' 'Welcome to Wonderland' competition. Abbie was up against 18,000 entrants in the competition, which encourages pupils to write a short story in 100 words. She wrote about 'The Small World Inside Our Technology.'
"I love writing and I do it a lot at home. I like reading a lot too and especially DC Marvel comics," said Abbie.
Chloe is a keen go-kart driver, following in her dad's footsteps, since the age of 6. She has already won a number of competitions, including the Go-Kart Championships at Woodthorpe for 8-12 year olds, and the Army Cadets Shield.
"I used to watch my dad when I was younger and he got me into it. I love go-karting," said Chloe, who is also a member of the Tollbar Academy Choir.
