SEVEN graduates who took part in a successful teacher training scheme have all gained immediate employment.

As an enriching add-on to their English studies, 25 students in year 8 took part in the BBC "News Report" day. Students had to write and present reports, which were then filmed in the Academy's TV studio, or recorded to make a radio podcast.

Five academies competed against each other in the third annual Inter-Academy Indoor Athletics Tournament organised by Cleethorpes Academy and held at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield.

A teacher training scheme which offers graduates the opportunity to study at Cleethorpes-area schools is being extended.

Tollbar Academy has been rated 'Outstanding' for the second time in succession, following an assessment by Ofsted.
