Outside The Classroom

  • The Academy has a deserved reputation for sporting excellence and all students are encouraged to participate in a large number of sporting activities and events.
  • Homework Clinics are offered in a variety of subjects so that students can access our excellent resources outside the Academy day.
  • Students are encouraged to partake in a wide variety of music and creative arts activities.
  • After-Academy support is arranged for students who need additional help.
  • The Young Enterprise project, sponsored by local businesses, operates in the upper school and our Sixth Form. Over the years our students have collected many awards in their annual competitions.
  • The Academy supports students who wish to participate in the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme.
  • Students have the opportunity to take part in a number of educational visits which support key elements of the curriculum.
  • There are numerous local and national educational competitions that the students enter.
